yes, carbon fiber isn't all that special nowadays even in the road car segment, but its true nature and properties are still rarely experienced and understood by the end users - us.
Take a car for example, many high-end models on the market now incorporate carbon fiber trims in the interiors. However, most carbon fiber parts are already installed on the interior panels, exposing only one side of its surface. One can only touch and slide their fingers across the surface and not be able to hold the part in their hands and interact with it. This is how the idea behind Carbon Shifter was conceived. i had always wanted to make something car related, some gadget that's special, elegant, and "luxurious" in a sense. Sure enough, one day, I decided to work on carbon fiber, which was special enough and very much car related. The high physical strength and light weight have always been the well-known properties of carbon fiber, and Carbon Shifter is created to let people experience just that.
